Welcome to the 64 Square World

Welcome to Learning Math, Strategy, and Life Through Chess

[Music fades in]

Hello, and welcome!

I'm Mark W. Quinn, and I'm so glad you're here.

Whether you're a student, a parent, a teacher, a homeschool family, or someone who's simply curious about chess, you've found a place where every move becomes an opportunity to learn.

This is Learning Math, Strategy, and Life Through Chess—the official podcast of the 64 Square World Method™.

If you think chess is only about winning games, you're about to discover something much bigger.

Chess is one of the greatest thinking tools ever created.

Every game teaches us how to solve problems, recognize patterns, think ahead, make better decisions, and learn from our mistakes. Along the way, it naturally connects with mathematics, strategy, and many of the life skills we use every single day.

That's exactly what this podcast is all about.

Each episode is designed to be short, engaging, and practical.

Together we'll explore chess concepts that make sense for beginners, discover the mathematics hidden inside the game, and connect every lesson to skills that help us in school, at home, and throughout life.

If you're following along with the Learning Math, Strategy, and Life Through Chess book series, this podcast will be your companion on the journey. But even if you've never opened a chess book before, you're in the right place. We'll learn together, one move at a time.

And here's something special.

Every episode will include exclusive content you won't find in the books.

You'll hear a Coach's Tip to help you improve your thinking, solve a Bonus Chess Puzzle, discover a fascinating Story from Chess History, hear inspiring Student Success Stories, and answer questions sent in by listeners just like you.

So whether you're listening on your way to school, during your morning commute, in your classroom, or around the kitchen table with your family, I hope each episode leaves you thinking just a little differently than when it began.

Because learning chess isn't really about memorizing moves.

It's about learning how to think.

Thank you for joining me at the very beginning of this adventure.

If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, I'd love for you to subscribe so you never miss an episode. If your podcast app allows it, please consider leaving a review and sharing the show with a friend, a teacher, or another family who loves learning.

Our first lesson begins soon, and I can't wait to explore the 64-square world with you.

Until next time…

Keep learning.

Keep thinking.

And remember…

Every great adventure begins with a single move.
